ABOUT STORY + SEED
These little humans that we call our kids may be young, but they too are facing small battles everyday. They are learning how to be kind, the difference in right and wrong, what it means to be “good”, and so many other new endeavors. I see the battles in my own kids everyday…the celebrated triumphs and the try harder struggles.
And there it was. In the try harder struggles. The ones where I so pridefully want to begin and end with the echo of “because I said so”. It was right there, so tender and yet so direct, that The Lord spoke to me as an author. I was supposed to create tools, also known as stories, that could scatter seeds on the soil of the big things these little ones deal with.
“This is the meaning of the parable: the seed is the word of God.”
Luke 8:11
Not seeds of “because I said so” but seeds that can take root, seeds that can make an impact, seeds of encouragement and affirmation. Seeds of “because HE said so”! And these precious seeds needed to be gifted in a fun, relatable and memorable way. So…with this mindset, Story and Seed was born.
After publishing several children’s books, the Lord moved and unlocked a new focus on the storytellers. As a result, the ministry now focuses on Women’s Events, where stories and testimonies are shared to encourage us as storytellers and Glorify the name of Jesus!
